About this album

In summer of 2022, Outrun the Sunlight began the process of rehearsing their album "Terrapin" for a special one-off performance in their hometown of Chicago, IL. During which time the group could feel the momentum buzzing with how the rehearsals were going.

So on a hunch, they hired a small film crew and a lighting director, and set out to capture their show in the highest-quality available to them. Over the next several months, the band's guitarist, Austin Peters, would edit and mix the show, with the assistance of Audiotree engineer, Neil Strauch, to create a brand new live rendition of their beloved album, Terrapin, which was originally released in 2014.

Having never performed the last three songs, nor performed this album as a whole before, the recording is raw, unfiltered, live, and in-the-moment capture of the band's current line-up and what they each bring to the table under the Outrun the Sunlight umbrella.
